Regardless of personal preferences, this is the camp for you. Do as little or as much as you wish. Island Lodge offers all the challenge and excitement you crave in a Canadian vacation experience, as well as the relaxing comfort you need and deserve.

Eagle Lake is conveniently located North Western Ontario's Sunset country. Only 2.5hrs from International Falls, MN. and 3.5hrs from Winnipeg, MB. Your travel choices include; (1) arriving to the island by float plane, (2) flying to either international airports where our shuttle service will meet you or (3) driving directly to "The Landing". Our water taxi service (15 mins), will complete the trip to "The Island". The Lodge is centrally located on Eagle Lake, just east of North Twin Island. The lake is over 64 000 acres, has 450 islands to explore and more than 400 miles of shoreline.

This 7 acre island is home to the main lodge and 7 guest cabins. The lodge and cabins were hand built in the 1940's by local entrepreneur and craftsman, Andy Desrochers. Shortly after the second World War, our island was chosen for the resort because of it's close proximity, only 4 miles, to the mainland but most importantly, because of it's central location on the lake. Regardless of the weather, we are surrounded by numerous bays and islands affording sheltered fishing during your entire trip.

Beauty surrounds the island with deep, sparkling waters and breathtaking sights. Across the bay, a majestic Bald Eagle stands sentry upon the highest tree inspecting the fisherman's success on the lake.
